National Design & Art Competition

The Friends of the Royal Textile Academy of Bhutan, with generous support from Alan and Patricia Bickell and the royal patronage of Her Majesty Gyalyum Sangay Choden Wangchuck, are proud supporters of the National Design and Art Competition (NDAC).

The main objective of the NDAC is to promote the arts and crafts, ancient and contempory, unique to Bhutan by providing a platform and recognition to artisans. Categories include the following:

• Weaving (Gho and Kira)
• Embroidery
• Traditional Painting
• Contemporary Art
• Wood Carving and Sculpture
